In Fairfax County, Virginia lies the Inova Center for Personalized Health (ICPH) facility. A leader in healthcare innovation, this newly renovated facility creates a hub for patient care, health discovery, research, and education. The design concept highlights ICPH’s commitment to cutting-edge individualized care and embodies their core values of excellence, innovation, and compassion. As part of their innovative approach, INOVA has adopted design principles of functionality, efficiency, and human-centricity. Which drive design and operations of the new and renovated spaces while supporting the INOVA’s commitment to their connection with the community and well-being.
The main lobby renovation allowed the opportunity to open a once dark and cramped space, into an expansive lobby which allows visual connection to nature by washing the space in natural daylight. A symphony of light enhances the visitors’ experience with soaring ceilings and natural materials that are used to create an intuitive wayfinding strategy, connecting circulation elements within the building.
Amenity spaces were created such as the café, to promote a sense of community and encourage well-being. Located adjacent to the main lobby, the café scale, tone and biophilic design is a juxtaposition to the main lobby. The café beckons visitors to pause, connect and recharge amidst a backdrop of lush greenery and modern comforts.
Within the Campus of buildings, the circulation culminates within Tower 4 to serve as the lifelines of connectivity and collaboration. Designed for seamless circulation and accessibility, it enhances the wayfinding efficiency while promoting wellbeing for visitors and employees.
Serving as a beacon of inspiration for the broader healthcare community, the newly renovated facility reinforces the organization’s dedication to enhancing the user experience while providing cutting edge individualized care. The renovated facility reflects a commitment to excellence, innovation, and the well-being of all who enter. From the clean lines, biophilic connectivity and premium materials of the entry lobby to the cozy warmth of the cafe lobby and the functional elegance of the cores in Tower 4, every detail is thoughtfully curated to the visitor experience and reinforce the INOVA brand promise of transformative care, delivered with compassion and integrity.
In essence, the Inova Center for Personalized Health is a state-of-the-art facility that is a testament to the transformative power of design in healthcare.
