ARE® Prep Series

The AIA Northern Virginia Young Architects Forum organizes annual preparatory seminars for those studying to take the Architect Registration Exam® (ARE®). The award-winning seminars offer the opportunity to learn from a professional in each discipline and use that knowledge in preparation for the ARE.

Architect Registration Exam® (ARE®)

Continuing education credits are offered for all class sessions. All 2024 class sessions will be virtual. Advance registration is required by 5:00PM ET on the Thursday directly prior to each Saturday seminar.

Each class offers attendees an opportunity to learn from top-notch design professionals while gaining knowledge that can be used to prepare for each section of the Architect Registration Examination. Topics covered include Practice Management; Project Management; Programming + Analysis; Project Planning and Design; Project Development + Documentation; and Construction and Evaluation. All preparatory sessions offer AIA LU|HSW credits.

Cost:

Individual Seminar Classes: $50 (AIA Member); $75 (Non-Member)
Each multi-hour session requires advance registration by 5:00pm on the Thursday directly prior to the Saturday seminar.

Cancellation requests must be received by email no later than 5:00pm on the Wednesday immediately prior to the class, and the refund will be minus credit card fees, as applicable. Missed sessions will not be refunded but will entitle attendees to receive any pre- /post-session class materials which the instructors may decide to make available. Class materials from any refunded session will not be provided.
