Part 1: High-Performance Home Tour & Lighting Demo
Location: 3241 North Ohio Street, Arlington, VA 22207
Join us for a return visit to this exceptional Modern Prairie-style luxury residence, now in the final stages of construction, nearly a year after the initial framing-stage tour. Designed by DeFalco Home Design and built by Alair Homes Arlington, the approximately 8,000-square-foot home spans three levels and includes five bedrooms, five and a half bathrooms, and distinctive architectural and lifestyle-focused amenities.
This exclusive tour will explore how the design has evolved from the framing stage into a nearly finished residence, highlighting the integration of architectural details, custom materials, high-performance building systems, and smart-home technology. Participants will see installed finishes and products, including engineered hardwood, cork, polished concrete, thin brick, custom cabinetry, wine storage, and specialty flooring, as well as systems such as 5-zone HVAC, solar and battery backup, smart electrical panels, and floor heating. In addition, the tour will highlight and demonstrate how high-end lighting and shade systems can be integrated into a modern home design.
The tour will offer insight into the coordination of design, materials, technology, and craftsmanship that brings together performance, durability, comfort, and modern luxury living.
Part 2: Lunch & Learn CEU Presentation: Human Centric Lighting
Location: Army Navy Country Club (Arlington Campus), 1700 Army Navy Drive, Arlington, VA 22202*
This session examines the three essential elements of human-centric lighting: quality light, natural light, and personalized control. Attendees will explore critical design considerations, smart technologies, implementation best practices, and effective strategies for communicating the value of human-centric lighting to clients.
*Please ensure your GPS is specifically set to the Arlington Campus (1700 Army Navy Drive) for the lunch portion of the event to avoid missing the presentation.
