At the heart of our chapter is a dedicated team working hard every day to keep things running smoothly, connect with our members, and bring our mission to life. While some team members started a few years ago, two new folks recently came onboard within the past few weeks. Whether you’ve met them already or not, here’s your chance to get to know the team a little better—and see exactly what each of them does behind the scenes.

Jaclyn S. Toole, Assoc. AIA – Executive Director
Jaclyn serves as our Executive Director and is the strategic force working alongside the Board of Directors guiding the organization. She oversees everything we do—managing operations, developing programs, supervising staff, and making sure our mission and goals are front and center. Jaclyn works closely with board members, stakeholders, and our members to build strong relationships and maintain our chapter’s momentum. She’s hands-on at all in-person events, rolling up her sleeves and leading with intention.

Julia A. Deupree – Member Experience Coordinator
Julia is our newest recruit and will be focusing on your member experience. From recruitment and retention to data analysis and content coordination, her role is to ensure you, our members, feel supported and engaged. She will be the go-to liaison for our committees, coordinating meetings and events, and she will play a key role in executing our new Allied Member Strategy. Julia will also manage our event calendar, job board, and online directories—keeping everything organized and up to date. She’s already diving in and eager to meet everyone at upcoming events!

Polly Terzian – Part-time Program & Engagement Coordinator
Just two short months in, Polly brings a wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm to her role as Program & Engagement Coordinator. She will take the lead on planning, coordinating, and executing professional development programming—including events, workshops, and webinars. From securing top-notch speakers to building strategic partnerships, Polly will keep our programming fresh and relevant. She will also execute to our new Firm Engagement Strategy and ensure everything runs smoothly on-site at our larger events.

Tiffany Bass – Remote Part-time Communications Coordinator
Tiffany is the voice behind our communications. She produces our newsletters, manages our blog, website, and social media, and leads outreach and marketing efforts. Her work keeps our members informed and connected. From crafting posts to updating online content, Tiffany ensures our messaging is clear, consistent, and aligned with our mission.
Whether they’re behind the scenes or front and center at events, each team member brings unique skills and energy to our chapter. We’re excited for you to meet the team while celebrating the Chapter’s 50th Anniversary at our Spring Social on May 6 in Chantilly, VA.
