Almost every month, AIA NoVA includes in each e-publication the previous month’s Architecture Billings Index (ABI), which is formulated by the AIA in conjunction with Deltek. Derived from AIA’s Work-on-the-Boards survey, which has gathered data on shifts in billings from architectural firm leaders for over 20 years, this data is a trusted tool utilized by the design and construction industry and other firms to predict and track movements in the market. Business leaders and firms of all sizes rely on the ABI to assess business conditions and predict and track the market, as well as investment groups and media outlets who also use it.
Non-members can subscribe to receive this timely forecasting information for $369 per year but AIA members may request access for free via email by including their name, AIA member number and the preferred email at which they’d like the information to be sent. Firms may also choose to join the ‘Work-on-the-Boards’ survey to incorporate their insights into the index. Historic ABI indexes are available for review as well.
