I have been a member of AIA Northern Virginia for over two decades and have become more involved over the past 6 years as a leader for the annual Design Awards program that supports and makes visible the many amazing buildings that are created by our members.  More recently, I joined the Board of Directors and now the Executive Committee as Treasurer.

After moving to the mid-Atlantic in 1989 upon graduating from Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor of Architecture, I was a project designer with Skidmore, Owings and Merrill for 3 years and then a project designer and associate with Lehman Smith McLeish for 10 years.  For the past 27 years, I have served many different design and leadership roles at CannonDesign and recently have become the Office Practice Leader for both our Washington DC and Baltimore offices.  I have led design projects for many of the top higher education institutions across the country including Boston University, Boston College, University of Virginia, Virginia Tech, University of Florida, University of South Florida and my alma mater Oklahoma State University.

I’m excited to be progressing through the Executive Committee ranks and serving as this year’s Treasurer.
