Jin Park is a senior project architect and the Regional Practice Area Leader for Office Developers in the Gensler DC office.  With 20+ years of professional experience, Jin is an unapologetic generalist, it is common for Jin to wear multiple hats on projects he leads, ranging from Design to Technical, and everything in between.

 

Jin, his wife and their amazing twin daughters moved from Denver, Colorado to Centreville, Virgina 12 years ago.

Jin’s involvement in AIA began shortly after graduating from University of Colorado with a Master of Architecture degree.  In addition to being elected to the Associate Director position on the AIA Denver Board, Jin chaired the Diversity Committee, Intern Advocate Committee, and the ARE Committee.  During his time in Denver, Jin received the AIA Colorado Intern of the Year Award, AIA Denver Service Awards, and the AIA Denver President’s Award.

 

Jin’s involvement in AIA NOVA began shortly after moving to Northern Virginia as a member of the Board of Directors along with Chair of the Committee on the Environment.  Jin recently became the Chair of COTE for a second stint and is looking forward to helping the committee find a voice again within our profession.  As a recent empty nester, Jin is looking forward to being involved with the AIA NOVA chapter again and make positive impact within our profession and our community.
