AIA Northern Virginia is committed to fostering the development of future leaders in the field and recognizing those that have distinguished themselves by their passion and commitment to design. We are excited to announce that applications are now open for two great opportunities: the Virginia Emerging Leaders Nomination & Grant program and the AIA NoVA ARE® Scholarship.   

These programs offer a unique chance to invest in the next generation of leaders at no cost or lower costs to the individual or their firm. Whether you’re looking to grow your impact in the profession or finally make progress on your licensure exams, these annual programs are designed to help you take that next step. If you are a firm leader, supervisor, or mentor, be sure to encourage rising talent by sharing these opportunities widely—this is meaningful professional development with monetary support.

Applications are due Thursday, Sept. 25 at 6:00PM ET. All eligible AIA NoVA members in good standing are encouraged to submit their applications for one or both programs! The winners will be announced and celebrated at the chapter’s Autumn Social on October 23 in Arlington, Va.

The chosen nominee for the ELA program will receive a letter of support from the Board of Directors and the chapter will pay for half of the program’s tuition.  The selected recipient for the ARE® scholarship will receive up to $1,410.00 of financial support to cover the cost of six tests.
