Susy Mikhail, AIACo-Chair (2022 + 2023), WIA Northern Virginia
Susy Mikhail, AIA
Profile [+]

Susy graduated with a Bachelor of Architecture degree from The Bernard and Anne Spitzer School of Architecture, The City College of New York in 2013. After graduation, she quickly developed a passion for standards and guidelines that ultimately shaped her career. She found herself focusing more on optimizing the process of creating construction documents with the tools at her disposal.

In 2016, Susy co-founded 4 Ideal Design with the guiding principle to optimize the digital practice by leveraging software to create efficiencies without losing design quality. She found synergy between 4iD’s mission and her personal vision to bridge the gap between the designer and software tools. She quickly embarked upon the vital role of working with firms to create great architecture consistently through development of effective standards and efficient workflows. As her role of Services Director at 4iD, she oversees all client relations to provide effective and personalized solutions to meet the firm, the project, and the individual needs.

Susy also teaches at the New York School of Interior Design. Her classes include Presentation Techniques using Revit and Escape, Hand Drawing and AutoCAD. She is a licensed architect in NY and VA, she is NCARB certified and holds a LEED GA certification.
