Risk Management – Should I Go or Should I Not Go?
March 24
Noon-1:30p

At the Chapter House, 1101 Duke Street, Alexandria, VA 22314.

Organized by the Small Firms Roundtable and presented by RLI Professional Services Group.

Would you take on a project that you knew was destined to fail? If we put it that way, would anyone answer “yes?” The secret to a successful go/no go process is to find a system to analyze the possibilities in a way that helps you spot future problems – and either solve them up front, or have the discipline to walk away if you cant.

Well walk through four steps of risk management: identifying, assessing, managing and controlling those risks. There is no “one size fits all” solution here. Were going to evaluate the project, the place, the people and the process. Because each firm is unique, your go/no go process is going to be similarly unique.

Objectives:
• Understand how the type of project and its delivery method can indicate future problems
• Learn to identify the different risks associated with a projects location
• Gain an awareness of how people involved in a project can have an impact on the overall assessment of risk
• Consider how different project processes can act as a forecast of potential issues

Free to attend. Lunch provided by RLI. Register here.
