Bridging Disciplines: Landscape Architecture at the Intersection of Ecology, Engineering, Culture, and Agriculture
Posted Friday, August 30

Join the University of the District of Columbia College of Agriculture, Urban Sustainability and Environmental Sciences (CAUSES) for a presentation by Thomas Woltz FASLA, CLARB, owner and principal of Nelson Byrd Woltz Landscape Architects. Woltz will describe the firm’s approach to design that reveals a narrative for every site through deep research into cultural, ecological, and geological forces. Based on the findings of this research, a creative landscape design process brings contemporary visibility to forgotten stories in the land.

The lecture is on September 5, beginning at 5:30p, at the University of the District of Columbia, Building 56, Ballroom B, 4200 Connecticut Avenue, NW, Washington, D.C. 20008.

The event is FREE and open to the public. Learn more at
