James M. Scott Exceptional Design Awards due June 15

Fairfax County’s James M. Scott Exceptional Design Awards (formerly the Fairfax County Exceptional Design Awards) submissions are due Friday, June 15, at 5:00p.

The program, celebrating its 34th anniversary, is sponsored by the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors and administered by the Fairfax County Department of Planning and Zoning, in cooperation with the county’s Architectural Review Board and the Northern Virginia Chapter of the American Institute of Architects.

Nominations can be submitted in many categories including but not limited to residential, commercial, industrial, institutional, historical and interiors. All entries should exemplify a superior work of architecture; incorporate total site design and landscaping; take into account the context of the work in relationship to its surroundings; or apply energy and water conservation and other green building practices.
