The Branch Museum of Architecture and Design is pleased to announce a full roster of programming in February.
Frozen Music: Frank Gehry and the Walt Disney Concert Hall – through April 14
The Branch Museum’s inaugural exhibit returns to our galleries after fifteen years! The exhibit features over 100 images of the construction of Frank Gehry’s Walt Disney Concert Hall, photographed by Gil Garcetti. Opening Reception on February 17, 1:00-4:00p; free and no registration required.

Masouma Delijam Lecture – February 15, 5:00-7:30p
Senior Architect on the Darul Aman Palace Restoration project in Kabul, Afghanistan, Masouma Delijam will lecture on the nature and scope of the project, and her work in Afghanistan. The lecture will be followed by a question & answer session. $10 per person; free for members.

February House Tour – February 18, 2:00-3:00p
Join The Branch Museum for an architectural tour of its historic home, the Branch House. See rooms rarely opened to the public and discover the distinctive architectural features that make this Tudor-Revival home, designed by renowned architect John Russell Pope, an important historic and cultural landmark. Tours are $10 person; free for members.

About the Northside Streetcar Suburbs Lecture – February 22, 5:00-7:30p
Join us for a panel discussion presented by Historic Richmond, focusing on the neighborhoods of Northside, some of the first electric street car suburbs in the country. Learn about the history of the neighborhood as one of the first “rent to buy” developments, its distinctive architecture and the current revitalization efforts. $20 per person.
