Tonight – Keynote Address for the Frascari Symposium at WAAC

To begin the two-day the Frascari Symposium III at the Washington-Alexandria Architecture Center, Associate Professor Federica Goffi will offer a keynote address on Carlo Scarpa and Ceiling Design: The Querini Stampalia in Venice.

This talk will address Carlo Scarpas way of working within existing edifices through ambiguous poetic conversions in terms of material imagination and the condition of listening in dialogue with craftsmanship.

The keynote lecture begins at 5:30p, at Virginia Techs Washington Alexandria Architecture Center (WAAC), 1001 Prince Street, Alexandria, VA 22314. The Frascari Symposium III takes place April 21-22. Following the lecture, there will be an exhibit opening, book launch and reception.
