2018 Signatures of Loudoun Winners
Posted Wednesday, August 15

The Loudoun County Design Cabinet has held this annual awards program since 2005. Sponsored by Loudoun County Economic Development, the he community is invited to submit nominations and the projects are voted on by the Cabinet and a group of students. This year’s winning projects were selected from more than 30 nominations.

This year’s award-winners range from Delirium Café, which has repurposed a private home built around 1800, to the new Sterling Library, which asked the community what it wanted and incorporated some of their ideas in the form of specially designed maker space, co-working areas, jelly bean pods, Brody lounges, Solatube skylights and programmable LED lighting.

Design Cabinet chair, Alan Hansen, FAIA, presented the 14th Annual Signatures of Loudoun Design Excellence awards with two of the student jurors.
