Job Description

GBR Architects has an opening for a Graduate Architect with a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Architecture and 5 - 8 years professional experience. We require a person who is organized, self-motivated and able to work collaboratively with staff at all levels of the firm. Responsibilities include working with our clients to develop their programmatic requirements; independent investigation, development, and evaluation of design solutions; and preparation of 3D renderings for presentation to clients. Tasks also include coordination of consultants, assisting the project manager with preparation of construction drawings/specifications and construction administration services.

Qualifications

• Strong design, graphic and communication skills
• Understanding of building code and ADA requirements
• Experience with coordination of engineering consultants

• Proficiency in developing construction drawings and specifications

• Experience with construction administration services including review of submittals, response to RFIs and preparation of punch lists
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite including InDesign and Photoshop
• 3D rendering and visualization skills including any of the following: SketchUp, Enscape, Lumion, etc.
• Proficiency in AutoDesk programs including AutoCAD and Revit
• US Citizen or holder of a permanent resident card “green card” granted by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).
