Director, Program & Resource Development

Professional position in the Knowledge and Practice team reporting to the Sr. Director, Career Pathways & EDI Strategies. This position will primarily support the Institute’s efforts on gender equity and emerging professionals, and on a regular basis will collaboratively work across the team to support youth, student (K-12 and higher education) professional programs and other leadership programs. 100% virtual/remote from select states.

Demonstrated strong communication and writing skills, with an interest in programmatic and content development, innovative hybrid event planning and engagement opportunities, and complex volunteer management. Experience with creative collaborations and project management required, and experience with leadership content creation desired. Experience scaling pilot programs into large, revenue-generating events is a strong benefit.

Knowledge of architectural licensure processes, policies, and regulations in the United States, especially the Architectural Experience Program (AXP) and the Architect Registration Examination (ARE) is beneficial. Proficiency in Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint are essential. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite software, Zoom, and Miro is beneficial. Knowledge and experience with diversity, equity and inclusion strongly desired.

Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in a design, leadership, marketing/communications, or education field with a minimum of 7 years related experience required. A NAAB-accredited degree (B. Arch., M. Arch., D. Arch.) is beneficial. Completion of AXP is preferred and an architectural license is a strong benefit. Up to 15% travel required, including on weekends.

Work is focused on gender equity and emerging professionals. Architecture background is a plus but not required.
