Canstruction Build-Out
October 27
5:00p-midnight

At Reagan Washington National Airport, Terminals B+C, Level 1, Baggage Claim Area.

Organized by AIA Northern Virginia Chapter and the Arlington Food Assistance Center, our 14th annual Canstruction® competition celebrates the commitment that local architects have made to support their community and have fun while doing so. Most importantly, hundreds of families will benefit from thousands of donated cans.

Children and adults alike will enjoy viewing the delightful and inventive structures. The public is invited to watch teams build on October 27 from 5:00p until midnight. The structures will be on public display at the airport through November 4.

Before these whimsical works become meals, they will be evaluated by an expert panel and awarded in the categories of Best Original Design, Best Meal, Best Use of Labels, Most Cans, People’s Choice and Structural Ingenuity. Winning entries will go on to compete in the International Canstruction competition.
