Universal Design Solutions and New Technology for Residential Practice
March 29
Noon-1:30p

At the Miele Tysons Corner Experience Center, Fairfax Retail Square, 8065 Leesburg Pike, Suite 110, Vienna, VA 22182.

Organized by AIA Northern Virginia for the Capital Area CRAN Committee (Custom Residential Architects Network).

New technology makes universal design strategies affordable amenities for custom single-family homes. Technology supports universal design to simplify daily tasks by making living spaces accessible to all people, regardless of age, size or ability. Adapting homes for aging in place has become truly affordable.

Richard Nordin of Access Lifts will offer design advice and tools to equip architects in the planning, specifying and installation of new technologies that support universal design as an inclusive solution for residential projects.

This continuing education seminar will enhance participants understanding of current practices and provide the opportunity to experience the new Miele showroom experiential center for residential clients.

Sponsored by Miele, Access Lifts & Service, Inc. and Waupaca Elevator Company.

1 AIA LU. Free admission, but reservations required.
