Women in Architecture – In Studio at HGA Architects and Engineers

Women in Architecture is hosting an In Studio with dAndre Willis, AIA, LEED® AP. She is a principal in HGAs Mid-Atlantic office in Alexandria  who focuses on projects for the Arts, Higher Education and Community. With more than 17 years of experience at HGA in both the Milwaukee and Alexandria offices, dAndre brings a unique perspective to work in this region. Current projects include the Hodson Boathouse at Washington College, the adaptive reuse of an historic brewery bottling plant and a large performing arts center. She has won awards for her work at several campuses of the University of Wisconsin system, the Milwaukee Community Sailing Center, Radio Milwaukee and the Selig-Joseph-Folz Theater.
HGA is an integrated architecture, engineering and planning firm founded in 1953; they now have eight offices with more than 700 employees. HGA has a culture of collaboration, knowledge sharing and design investigation that enables clients to achieve success with responsive, innovative and sustainable designs.
There is a reception at 6:00p and the program starts at 6:30p. 1.5 LUs. There is no charge to attend, but reservations are requested.

HGA offers complimentary shuttle service from Braddock Road Metro (Blue & Yellow) every 20 minutes. Visitors can use the TransitScreenGO app and select “Canal Center” for live shuttle tracking or on their desktop. Parking is available under the building on G-1 level for $8 and free street parking can be found west of the building.
